When it comes to most things we do in life, there is no “one size fits all”. We’re all different. That sentiment rings true for the clothes we wear, the workout routines we commit to, and even the way we plan our days.

It also rings true when it comes to taking psychedelic substances, like magic mushrooms.

You can indulge yourself with a microdose, a medium-dose, or a macrodose. Yes, you’re indulging in the same substance: psilocybin “magic” mushrooms. But the experiences and effects of each dosage vary greatly.

A Brief Psychedelic History

In the United States, psychedelics have gained mass popularity in recent years, sparking some type of a “psychedelic renaissance”. Though there has been knowledge of the substances’ healing powers since the mid-1900s, the war on drugs and American governments shoved it all away from the public — almost as quickly as they were discovered.
