the world spins
equilibrium lost
straining to rebuild connections lost
gazing at the same stars,

We started July with the gift of flowers from Tapan Avasthi and Jenny Justice inspired us to reach for the stars. Now, let’s experience the world with our hearts. The heart assumes many roles in our world. The heart sustains life, is the locus of our inner soul, and is the catalyst for love, beauty, joy, and compassion.

The Heart Week Prompt:

  1. Submit your poem or short fiction to the Medium publication of your choice, or self-publish.
  2. Choose your tags, with one of them being Heart Week. If you also publish to social media, please include the hashtag #heartweek.
  3. Let’s share our hearts with the world for the next seven days.
  4. Please tag me in your pieces. I can’t wait to read what you write!

Be sure to check out the incredible works by Medium authors under the Floral Week and Star Week tags.
