A major rescue operation was afoot to get Neil out of the little space he had managed to somehow squeeze his body through.
Ropes were cast down. Ladders were cast down. But Neil couldn’t move even his hands. Everything was stuck.

On the afternoon of March 22nd, 1959, twenty-year-old Neil Moss stood inside the 1,000 ft Peak Cavern. He was a British student at the time.
The cavern was one of the biggest cave systems in the country. At one point, the case inhabited an entire village of thirty people. It was also used by criminals and thieves as a hideout due to its many secret passageways and hiding spots.
