Peggy and her friend discovered that Daniel’s front door was open. So they went inside his house.
The house smelled of smoke.
There was a large scorched patch on the living room floor.
They entered the garage, and the smell of lighter fluid was strong and thick in the air.
A sleeping bag was on the ground.
Peggy and her friend immediately ran outside once they saw what was inside the bag.
Then Peggy’s friend called 911.
Dispatcher: 911 emergency. Do you need police, fire, or medical?
Peggy’s friend: There’s a dead body. Oh my God!
Dispatcher: Do you need police, fire, or medical?
Peggy’s friend: There was a fire, and we went in to investigate. The fire must be a couple of days old. But there’s a dead body in the garage we just found. I’m with the homeowner who doesn’t live here.
