Hachishakusama, the 8-foot-tall lady
It was a sunny day outside.
Yui and Sora were playing in their favorite spot, outside Sora’s house. The two were cousins and best friends. Yui and Sora felt a strange feeling. Someone was watching them.
Then, a masculine voice began murmuring something from the distance. Sora went closer to the trees, following the direction of the voice. Yui followed behind, a little hesitant.
There was a tall white figure that quickly shifted to hide behind the next trees. Yui felt chills run through her bones. She tightened her grip on Sora’s hand.
The two moved closer to the figure. They both looked up, almost breaking their necks. An eight-foot-tall lady dressed in white with long black hair and a white sun hat stood before them.
She grinned from ear to ear, uttering the words, po popo popopo repeatedly before she vanished.
Sora’s mother later returned home. She found Sora and Yui looking pale and afraid. Then, Yui’s mother came to pick her up.
