Day 489 (May 23, 2018)
In today’s issue: Judge rules Trump can’t block people on Twitter
A federal judge in New York ruled today that Trump can no longer block other Twitter users.
The judge ruled in favor of the plaintiffs due to the rights given to the public under the First Amendment. Twitter is a public forum, so when Trump, the so-called Leader of the Free World, excludes someone due to their opposing views, he is violating the Constitution.
Several of the plaintiffs took to Twitter to express their feelings towards their win and Trump’s loss.
This is a win for the American people and the First Amendment, but wouldn’t it be nice if our Commander-in-Chief actually governed instead of tweeting about his “haters” in the wee hours of the morning?
That’s it for today’s Trump Dump. Please remember to join us at lockhimupnow.org, share our post by clicking the 👏 at the bottom, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
