The Jets have officially parted was with wideout Brandon Marshall, the team announced Friday. Marshall has played in 11 seasons for four different teams, compiling 941 reception 12,061 yards and 82 touchdowns. Despite his incredible resume, he is coming off a season where he recorded only 59 catches and 788 yards and just 3 touchdowns. This is only the 3rd time in his career that he’s caught less than 80 passes and has had less than a thousand yards. The disappointing season might be in part due to the jets offensive struggles rather than aging. Brandon Marshall still has the potential to be a great playmaker wherever he ends up.

He is a big target listed at 6'4" 230 pounds and could easily make an immediate impact on any teams offense. There are several team that could use a big, physical receiver like Marshall to help out in the passing.

Here are some of the potential landing spots for Marshall:

Los Angeles Chargers: Although the Chargers probably can’t afford a guy like Marshall, this would still be a perfect fit for him. The Chargers have pretty good receivers as it is, but due to injuries they could use depth at this position. Marshall has been asking to play for a good quarterback and Rivers would be the best quarterback he’s played for. Not only that, but both Rivers and Marshall are very competitive football players that would make them an outstanding duo. He would be a perfect target for Rivers and a great compliment to a healthy Keenan Allen. Plus Marshall would love LA.

Baltimore Ravens: The fit makes the most sense. The Ravens have all it takes to make a playoff run, great coach, a solid veteran quarterback, and a solid team. The Ravens lost Steve Smith Sr. after announcing his retirement leave a wideout spot open for the taking. Marshall could make a huge impact on the Ravens offense. He is a very reliable receiver and a deep threat that could turn the ravens struggling offense around. Even Steve Smith himself said he would be a perfect fit in Baltimore.

Tennessee Titans: The Titans are very well a team on the rise. Adding a playmaker like Brandon Marshall would certainly help them to the top. Mariota is a promising young quarterback, Marshall could help him develop and live up to his potential. The Titans are making receiver on of their first priorities. They have been eyeing to trade for Brandin Cooks but not that Marshall has hit the market I wouldn’t be surprised if the Titans try to go after the veteran wideout.
