Missionaries leaving

Today I went to the Farewell talk and the open house afterwords for one of my good friends who is going to go serve an 18 month LDS mission, in a few days. For those that don’t know much about the LDS missions, they are voluntary, and you pay your way.

She has always been an amazing person. She was probably one of the first people that I ever looked up to. She has an absolutely amazing voice, and she is kinder than anyone I have ever met. She is easily the most humble, and most talented person I have met. She could have easily won contests for singer/songwriters, and have made several albums by now, but she refuses to make money off of music. I once offered to record a cd of her for her, she refused. I guess I just wanted to say that I’m going to miss having that little light in my life for the next 18 months, but at least I’ll get the weekly emails.

Other than that I went to church, which was good. I created a great basketball themed gingerbread house, with a red and white striped roof.

I love all of you. Tomorrow i think ill write about what makes a person like my freind above such a great person, and how we all can strive to be like that.
