Our Duty as Boffins
Every day I find myself in the amphitheater taking notes on a bald, balletic man who is speaking on functions. But I recall that bleak moment when I noticed the fallen apple as Newton once did, and just wondered,
“Why do I endeavor to understand the science? What does science even mean?”
That was a memorable ponder.
Science is the purest human construction that produces consistent the core of life — insight. Knowledge encloses the power to prevent, react, heal, and amend. However, science, as the center of ascendancy, attracts all kinds of bees and wasps. It is just like honey for every man who has interests.
Unfortunately, nowadays, there are many examples where science is instrumented by profit and greed while creating inequalities and dystopia. That’s where the abstraction of everything should now more than ever interfere. Ethics must define science.
Hence, pure science is the contemplation, the ideal, the symmetrical, the flexible noetical that spreads the human horizons on the practical level. Be the kind of boffin that serve the most selfless aspect of human activity while expecting nothing.
Doubt and cogitate everything.
Be the philosopher every area of science needs.
