Sometimes a spreadsheet tells the clearest story. Case in point: the table below, which compares information on diseases, education levels, and income across three US demographic groups.

Based on 2012 data, African Americans were more likely than whites or Hispanics to be diagnosed with obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, or as having suffered a stroke. Whites were most likely to have heart disease, while Hispanics had higher rates of obesity and diabetes relative to whites.
