Another player has officially been added to the 2025 Monterey bay F.C. roster. This time, it’s 22-year-old defender Joel Garcia Jr., who is a Salinas native with a number of ties to the local communities.

Following his graduation from Alisal High School in Salinas, Garcia Jr. enrolled at San Jose State University where he played well, scoring six goals and notching two assists in 41 matches. This helped him earn All-WAC Freshman Team recognition after his first year.
