Make no mistake about it, the recent signing of striker Mayele Malango by Monterey Bay F.C. was to help them beef up an offense that struggled mightily at times in 2024. But what does the club have with the newest player coming from USL League One? Let’s take a look at his play over the past few years to get a little better idea of how he operates.
Goal versus the Central Valley Fuego, 9/30/23:
We start off with a very pretty score from Malango, who takes the ball up the sideline, before driving into the box. He navigates past multiple defenders, briefly dumps the ball off to a teammate before getting it right back and slamming the ball in the net at the tail end of a nifty pirouette.
