The 3 Most Intriguing Players On Monterey Bay F.C.’s Roster Entering the 2025 Season

Although Monterey Bay F.C’s 2025 roster is “only” about half new players from last season, the team has a distinctly different feel from past years. With a number of players coming from abroad or otherwise being previously unknown to most fans, there’s a lot to look forward to. Here are the three most intriguing players for the upcoming season.

Nico Gordon: The 22-year-old defender comes to the club with a lot of oomph to his name despite his tender age. He was a member of the MLS Next Pro Best XI last year, and helped spearhead a staunch defense for championship-winning North Texas FC. However, this was simply his redemption season after missing significant time prior to that. He was a highly regarded prospect in England who was scouted by Premier League clubs and spent years with Birmingham City of English Championship (Universally considered a top-15 or so league in the world)

Gordon made 15 senior team appearances for Birmingham City before a transfer to Solihull Moors of the National League that didn’t pan out in the long run, which combined…
