The Road To The 2024 USL Championship Playoffs May Run Through Monterey Bay

Congestion in the pack of clubs vying for the final couple of postseason berths will likely heavily involve MBFC one way or another

The rubber is hitting the road, as once again, it’s coming down to the final matches of the season to see whether or not Monterey Bay F.C. will qualify for a playoff spot. Currently in 10th place in the western Conference, they are on the outside looking in but there is so much congestion in this are of the standings that they are still very much in the thick of things. How does the rest of the 2024 season look for the Seasiders compared to that of their direct competition for a playoff spot?

Seventh place Phoenix and eighth place Tulsa currently have 30 points, with ninth place Orange County and 10th place Monterey Bay at 28 points and hot on their heels. You can’t forget 11th place San Antonio, who have struggled mightily during the second half but are still within shouting distance with 25 points.
