New Monterey Bay F.C. Head Coach Jordan Stewart has promised that significant change will take place during the current offseason. Having missed the postseason in all three years of the franchise’s existence, the club is lacing up their boots and prepared to dramatically change their roster. Part of that ongoing transformation will be identifying and cultivating young players. A prospect playing just up north for The Town (the San Jose Quakes II) who may be worth a close look is defender/striker Aaron Edwards.

A native of San Jose, Edwards who just turned 22, has been part of the Quakes academy and The Town of MLS Next for a number of years. He was a top-tier college prospect, once ranking as the second best prospect in Northern California according to TopDrawerSoccer. Prior to his recent stint with the Quakes II, he spent two years playing for UCLA.
