Right now, in the world of collegiate soccer, few names resonate as strongly as Rob Dow’s. The University of Vermont’s Men’s Soccer Head Coach has rapidly ascended to the heights of the sport due to his consistent success that culminated in leading the Catamounts to their first-ever National Championship this past fall.
Born in 1981, in Canada, Dow’s soccer journey began long before he ever set foot on the UVM campus. A standout player at the University of Maine, he twice led the Black Bears in scoring, displaying some of the offensive prowess that have become the calling card of his future teams.
Dow’s career leading a coaching staff took flight in 2006 at Dean College, followed by a stint at Southern New Hampshire University. However, it was his arrival at Vermont in 2012 that would change the trajectory of both his career and the school’s soccer program.
