The £32 million signing for Chelsea has been the best midfielder this season, perhaps he is worth £89 million!

The first thing which comes into mind when we think of Kante is his never-ending stamina, uncanny ability to sense attacks, his natural desire to retrieve the ball, the tackling prowess (which has been on another level this season).. Well, the list goes on!

His astute understanding of the game along with his positioning sense puts him in the bracket of best midfielders in the world. The midfielder is practically everywhere in the field during the match.

This tweet quite sums up Kante;

“Most people run out of breath, N’golo Kante runs out of land.”

The midfielder played a paramount role in Leicester City’s historic triumph last season before moving to Stamford Bridge for a 32 million move.

As quoted by his former manager, Claudio Ranieri, ”This player Kante, he was running so hard that I thought he must have a pack full of batteries hidden in his shorts. He never stopped running in training. I tell him, ‘One day, I’m going to see you cross the ball, and then finish the cross with a header yourself. He’s unbelievable.”

While Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were often named as the best player by many pundits last season, there has been substantial evidence that N’Golo Kante was in fact, more influential for the foxes. The very fact that Leicester sit 16th this season with 21 points, just one point off relegation is the prove how massively influential he was in the fairytale success for the foxes last season.

Looking at the current market situation, the signing of Kante was always going to be a steal for Chelsea. The Frenchman had many clubs interested in him in the summer window, including the likes of United and Arsenal, however,the 25-year-old opted for Chelsea, primarily because Antonio Conte wanted the all-action midfielder at Stamford Bridge.

“I think he’s a complete midfielder, not only a defensive midfielder.He’s a fantastic guy. He’s humble. It’s very important. He wants to improve and show he deserves to play with Chelsea every game. That’s fantastic, this. He wants to improve in every game.” Conte on Kante.

Kante was always going to be a perfect fit in Antonio Conte system. The Italian demands his midfielders to play a high pressing game and in Kante, the blues have a match made in heaven.The Frenchman has started in 23 of 24 premier league games and has been a crucial player, perhaps the most crucial player. Along with Matic, the former Leicester man has formed a formidable partnership, constantly helping out the defense and attack. He can be ugly in a one on one situation, make a run and dribble past defenders (his goal against United), links with the fullbacks when needed. Anyone who watched his performance against Liverpool would wonder how possibly could the midfielder get better. The Frenchman was the best player on the field, putting in a sensational 14 tackles.

The bottom line is, he is the best in the business.

Kante in action during the Liverpool clash.

The 25-year-old has played a pivotal role in Chelsea resurrection this season. The blues finished 10th last season with 50 points. They now sit on top of the table this season with 59 points already in just 24 matches. Chelsea’s midfield was in shambles last season, Fabregas offered nothing going forward and Matic couldn’t helpless in defense. Kante had been the missing link for Chelsea last season. Threading the defense with attack smoothly as a silk, winning the ball back with impeccably timed tackles, Kante has evinced he is not a season wonder.

Doesn’t look like a bad prediction from Gary Lineker!

With Kante and his team both in sizzling form, it certainly looks like the midfielder will be lifting the Premier League trophy second time in a row.
