The MLB postseason picture is set! Once again after a 162 game season four teams will face off in single elimination games to continue their season because that makes all the sense in the world right? No one knows who is good in the NFL and the second we think we know something everything falls apart right in front of our eyes. And lastly college football is slowly looking like it may be an Alabama vs. Clemson rematch. With all that in mind let’s jump into the last week in sports:

The Good: The Yankee’s fake press conferences

These Yankee’s continue to win on and off the field. As the team prepares for the Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins Wednesday night they took their due time to celebrate creatively down the stretch. This time the celebration was a choreographed fake press conference in the dugout during their 6–1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays fully equipped with reporters, microphones and even a cameraman. The Yankees might be onto something here, I’m going to go out an limb and say these hi-jinks might be good enough to get the Yankees to the World Series.

The Bad: College punters

It was a bad week to be a college punter. First there was East Carolina late in the third quarter. Then it was Miami with a punt that went BACKWARDS. And finally it was Tennessee and their terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Time to just go for it on fourth down every time right?

The Ugly: LSU Football

Losing is never fun. Losing on homecoming weekend is worse. Losing to a team you are suppose to beat is even worse. But worst of all is losing on homecoming weekend to a team you were supposed to beat and you paid that team just under a million dollars. That million dollars hurts…. a lot. Louisiana State University’s loss to Troy this past weekend is the most recent setback in what has been a disappointing season for the Tigers who are just 6 years removed from appearing in the BCS National Championship Game.
