Three Players To Target At The End Of Your Fantasy Football Draft

In Fantasy Football, the most important picks are made in the first few rounds. You can’t win your league if your first round pick is a total bust, or your second round pick suffers a brutal injury. But, where many champions win their league is at the very end. The late-round pickups are very often the players who carry teams to Fantasy titles- just ask owners of Jay Ajayi and Michael Thomas last year. And this year is no different- there will be players taken at the very end of drafts who will help lead somebody to success. So, who might those guys be this season?

Carson Palmer, QB, Arizona Cardinals (ESPN’s QB #20)

Palmer certainly won’t be a flashy or exciting pick at the end of your draft, but that doesn't matter, because he will be a good pick. Having 19 QB’s above him is laughable- Palmer’s play may have dropped off last season, but he is still a very good QB in Fantasy. On six different occasions last season, he threw for more than 300 yards. He had three TD’s four times, while putting up over 15 points in more than half of his games. Palmer may not be an elite fantasy QB, but he’ll definitely be a solid starting option.

Tyrell Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers (ESPN’s WR #44)

Williams was one of the best waiver-wire pickups of last season, and is looking to build on his breakout season. And with the injury to Mike Williams, as well as the inevitable injury for Keenan Allen, expect him to get a heavy share of targets in the Chargers’ pass-happy offense.

Robby Anderson, WR, New York Jets (ESPN’s #77 WR)

Robby Anderson is a very smart pick at the tail end of your draft, and it has almost nothing to do with the quality of player he is. It’s because he is the only NFL-caliber WR on the entire Jets roster after Quincy Enunwa’s injury. He’s going to get lots of targets, and many chances to make big plays. Pick him at the end of your draft, and watch him become a steal.
