I Wish I Could Have Done It…
Most of the regrets we have in our lives are due to:
- The choices we didn't make.
- The chances we didn't take.
- The lost opportunities.
Many of us live with regrets for our entire life.
- Choosing the wrong degree.
- Marrying the wrong person.
- Not working on our dreams.
- Letting our decisions be controlled by their family and friends.
- Not daring to speak up for ourselves.
- Not expressing ourselves.
With regret, we have two options either to suffer or to evolve.
Unfortunately, many of us choose to suffer. We accept things as our destiny.
Slowly, the suffering starts to reflect in our behavior. Our decisions are also built on those weak foundations.
It can be observed in many of the people in our family and surroundings.
They are always gloomy. Many often they force their children to choose things that they wanted from their lives. They are too rude often.
They have no peace with themselves. They easily get triggered.
But one thing everyone should know is that irrespective of where they stand in their life that:
”You are still alive”
This statement is enough to make anyone realize their worth. The value of their life.
There is no universal law that you cannot restart your life.
Many people restart their life. And many start late.
Ray Croc found McDonald's at 52
He could have regretted not starting earlier. Then he couldn't have launched McDonald's either.
But the last time I tried I failed
I am aware of the mistakes I made and I'll make sure I do not end up repeating them.
You can also restart your life at any age. But the only condition is to let go of your regrets. Just throw away the baggage of regrets. It is only stopping you from moving forward.
Always remember wrong decisions can be costly but it is not a life sentence.
You are not a failure.
— Your plan didn’t work out.
You're not making mistakes
— You’re learning and evolving
- Don't fear restarting.
- Don't let your fears make your decisions
- Don't let your regrets make you change your decisions.
Make peace within yourself to make your life better. Learning to move on from what does not serve you is a skill that will benefit you in the long run.
