I woke up one morning and did not feel pretty.

I lined my lips, applied gloss, and still did not feel pretty.

I decided to take a walk,

Little did I know that people would talk.

I get insulted because of how I look.

"Do not use a cover to judge a book."

Oh, I thought the saying was true!

But judgments come at me out of the blue.

I have my imperfections,

And it caused me depression,

I felt like a complete loser,

And then there’s her….

She is so beautiful, and her smile is brightening.

Her radiant face, like lightning,

She is a masterpiece!

Her eyes would splinter the world into pieces.

She is addictive, just like a drug.

Her beauty cannot be disregarded with a shrug.,

Despite her perfection, she is still made fun of,

She is flawless, but they still bluff.

It made me realize one thing,

Perfect or imperfect, they will still say something.

Yeah, they would taunt,

But your beauty, must you flaunt.

When I think of beautiful things,

I count myself in,

You should do the same.

Remember,

“Beauty is power;

A smile is its sword",

A wise man said those words.
