Announcing Celo Camp Batch 9 Participants Building for MiniPay
Are you curious about what projects founders are building for MiniPay on the Celo blockchain?
Celo Camp, the virtual acceleration and mentorship program built by Upright Ventures in partnership with the Celo Foundation, is excited to announce the participants for Batch 9: The MiniPay Launchpad (2.0).
After reviewing 200+ applicants from 45+ countries, we are proud to present the 22 teams who will be building dApps for Opera MiniPay. Projects range from facilitating transactions, financing small and medium-businesses, enhancing earning opportunities, and providing DeFi solutions to users of MiniPay’s self-custodial wallet built on Celo.
All Celo Camp participants will have access to one-on-one mentorship from organizations such as the Celo Foundation, Opera, cLabs, Climate Collective, Mento Labs, Good Dollar, Impact Market, Prezenti, ConsenSys, Echo VC, Arca, and many more!
In addition to guidance and support from mentors, participants will iterate on their business strategies, sharpen their technical skills with support from Celo ecosystem engineers, and connect with industry experts through networking events and educational workshops. Celo Campers will also receive perks from organizations such as AWS, Hubspot, and Twilio, as they continue to build towards a more prosperous future for all.
To date, participants from the first eight Celo Camp cohorts have processed transactions on Celo with an estimated value of over $1.5B, showcasing the true potential of the platform.
Additionally, their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit have attracted more than $270M in funding from leading tech sector investors like Polychain, Davoa Capital, Electric Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Mercy Corps, and Flori Ventures, to name a few. Since it’s inception, Celo Camp has become a hub for the blockchain pioneers of tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see the lasting impact that Batch 9 will have on the Celo ecosystem!
