The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation is excited to announce the 2017 cohort of the At the Table: Enterprise Accelerator Program. This year-long program supports the growth of three Latina small business owners as they go through a tailored programming aimed to serve as a catalyst to take their businesses to the next level. This programming includes access to tailored business and leadership training, and the opportunity to strategically grow their network to help them scale their business. The Enterprise Accelerator Program is part of the USHCC Foundation’s greater At The Table: Women in Business and Leadership Initiative.

Silvia Maria Camps is the Founder and CEO of Stow Simple, a next-generation storage company designed to take the pain out of using traditional self-storage. They pick up, store and photo-catalogue items, which are delivered back with the click of a button. Users can see and access their stuff without ever having to visit a storage facility.

Silvia has won various awards and pitch competitions including the 2015 Miami Herald Business Plan Challenge, the 2016 Miami Rocket Pitch Competiton, and is among the highest rated storage companies in Miami.

While currently operating in Miami and the surrounding areas, Stow Simple is looking to expand nationally to five addtional major urban areas by 2020. Additionally, they are in discussions to partner with the University of Miami and Florida International University and will have a portion of proceeds go to support entrepreneurship studies.

Victoria Flores is the President of Lux Beauty Club which offers affordable, salon-quality hair extensions delivered to your door. They view themselves as the Warby Parker meets Dollar Shave Club of hair extensions.

In addition to being sold nationally, Lux Beauty Club has partnered with salons in New York and Florida. They have been featured online at The Wall Street Journal, People en Español, People Style, Time Magazine, and on television via Univison’s Primer Impacto and on the Home Shopping Network via their American Dreams Competition. She was a member of the Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative’s 4th cohort of entrepreneurs and also won the El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s award for success.

Victoria is looking to agressively scale her company, and looks to have 10,000 customers, and cement partnerships with Dry Bar and other chain blow dry bars by the end of 2017.

Laura Parades Oldaker, is the founder and CEO of Academy for Caregiving Excellence, a trade school specializing in training individuals entering the healthcare field. Based out of Tucson, Arizona, the Academy for Caregiving combines e-learning, in-classroom, and hands-on training to train and certify hundreds of caregivers and licensed nursing assistants.

Laura has won various awards including the Verizon Wireless Hispanic Entrepreneur of the Year award, and the Tuscon Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Hispanic Business Woman of the Year award for her first business, By Your Side Senior Care. She has also completed the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program. Her company currently has training partnerships with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, Pima Community College, and South Mountain Community College.

At the Table: Women in Business and Leadership is one of the key initiatives the USHCC Foundation built to support future business leaders and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit of communities across America. This initiative is comprised of two components: The Enterprise Accelerator and the Speaker Series. The Enterprise Accelerator program gives participants access to tailored business and leadership training and the opportunity to strategically grow their network. The Speaker Series allows us to highlight the incredible women entrepreneurs, corporate executives, politicians and other trailblazers that are leading the nation’s economic and social growth.
