The United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the second annual BizVenture Collegiate Entrepreneurship program from September 30 — October 3, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. Students will join the USHCC Foundation for this three and a half day intensive program which will take place during the 2017 USHCC National Convention, the largest gathering of Hispanic business leaders in America.

The BizVenture Collegiate Entrepreneurship program is the USHCC Foundation’s premier program to spur the entrepreneurial spirit in college students. This program, presented in collaboration with the George Washington University, allows college and university students from a selected state, this year Texas, to learn how to take an idea and turn it into a potential business during an all-expenses paid, three and a half day scholarship program, all while becoming part of the USHCC Foundation network.

BizVenture officials help these emerging entrepreneurs prepare for the business world by teaching them how to develop and refine their business plans, proposals, and pitches. They have a chance to network and discuss their ideas with successful business owners and financial representatives. The students with the top three pitches will earn a scholarship for their respective college or university. All three winners are acknowledged and honored at the USHCC Foundation Gala in November.

This year, the USHCC Foundation is proud to host 20 young entrepreneurs from colleges and universities throughout the state of Texas, including: Southwestern University, St. Edward’s University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Tarrant County College, branches of Texas A&M University located in Central Texas, College Station and Kingsville, Texas Christian University, and The University of Texas at Austin and Dallas locations.

At the USHCC Foundation, we provide long-term learning and support to future business and community leaders through initiatives designed to support business growth, strengthen local chambers and ignite the entrepreneurial spirit.
