The Render Returns

Hi all,

After a short hiatus (looking at you, 2020), we’re back! And a lot has changed about the way we work, the stories we’re following, and how our films are shared.

As the Video Consortium continues to grow, we’re relaunching this space as a home for insights, tips, and curiosities from video journalists and nonfiction filmmakers around the world. Through the Render, we will celebrate achievements and attempts — keep an eye on the VC Sandbox — and embrace reflections on challenges experienced in our industry and throughout the storytelling process.

One of the through lines of my past year has been the sheer importance of community connection, especially in the absence of in-person meetings and collaboration. As we navigate an evolving new normal, we hope this blog provides a sense of support, inspiration and you’re-not-aloneness, no matter where you are located.
