After 17 years, Christopher Bailey presented his last show with Burberry at London Fashion Week this past February.

Bailey’s last collection is an ode to the LGBTQ+ community and it celebrates all the charities the designer supports.

Jack Clements, a freelance stylist working for Burberry, says: “The Burberry consumer will be raising awareness about the LGBTQ+ community by simply wearing the clothes on the street.

“I think that there is a lot of change happening with the fashion industry at the moment and it is a time that designers, stylists, creatives, everyone, is standing up and making their opinions and beliefs and passions known and that is how we communicate now.”

Bailey’s innovative ideas have been a success during the past 17 years. He embraced the internet and made it part of fashion shows.

“I think it was a great way for Christoper to exit the company. He’s been with the company for 17 years and has completely risen the company back up out of the ashes,” adds Clements.

The show sees the pride rainbow emblem on the iconic Burberry garments and included some of the biggest fashion models on the scene right now — such as Adwoa Aboah and Cara Delevingne.

Talking to Instagram, Bailey explained: “There has never been a more important time to say that in our diversity lies our strength, and our creativity.”
