Mum of 5 and fitness fanatic Danielle Hollinshead is revolutionising the way families across Portsmouth maintain a healthy active lifestyle.

The 32 year old entrepreneur has collected a wealth of experience in the health and nutrition and adult learning sectors over the past 7 years, and as a result started her own company ‘IDeal Fitness and Nutrition’, in May 2020. She explained that the business started after: “Yo-yo dieting and struggling with my own weight loss journey. I studied nutrition and fitness to better my own health and built a business with my education to help others in my position”.

Together with her business partner and husband, Ian, Danielle aims to help people improve their health and wellbeing by making use of proven Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques, in order to reverse bad habits and champion a more productive, efficient mindset. They offer a range of courses based on Danielle’s extensive training at the BECK institute.

Danielle has also broadened her skill set to include martial arts, hosting one-to-one kickboxing classes at Fratton’s Gym 01. She speaks from experience having gained a blue belt in the discipline herself. “I like working there and I love seeing all the members that train there…we are like one big family”, she told me.

However, this just wasn’t enough for the talented business woman, who wanted to give back to the community. This past Saturday she launched her very own health and mental wellbeing community support group, at Milton Village Hall, aiming to help those who perhaps have less access to this crucial information.

When asked for advice for entrepreneurs looking to follow in her footsteps, Danielle said “in the words of Robert Kiyosaki, winners are not afraid of losing but losers are. Failure is part of the process of success”.
