The UK is scheduled to depart from the European Union at 11pm on Friday 29th March, 2019.

This was after a referendum was held on Thursday 23 June, 2016, to decide whether the UK should leave or remain in the European Union.

Leave won by 51.9% to 48.1% with the referendum turnout being 71.8%, with more than 30 million people voting.

The UK and EU have now agreed on the three “divorce” issues of how much the UK owes the EU, what happens to UK Citizens living elsewhere in the EU and EU Citizens living in the UK.

However, a report by YouGov has revealed a change in the public’s view regarding the transition.
