The University of Portsmouth, in collaboration with The News, held hustings for Portsmouth South, with many students coming out in force to watch the candidates pitch and to ask questions.

According to latest figures, young people under 25 make up 41% of newly registered voters across the UK and in a constituency with a three-way marginal seat, their vote can make a big difference.

We asked Portsmouth university students where they were planning on voting and who.
