Raheem Sterling’s Premier League goals as of 10/11/2017

Manchester City and England’s Raheem Sterling is currently the Premier League’s top scoring midfielder with seven goals and two assists.

The 22-year-old has thrived so far this season under Pep Guardiola, and has capitalised on playing in a team stacked with world class talent.

Sterling has developed into a quality winger with most of his goals coming from inside the area and from first time shots, as the graphic above shows.

The winger has had a great start to the season and the majority of his goals are scored when finishing off a quality team move.

The positions Sterling has been in when scoring this season

Manchester City have scored 38 goals this season so far, and sit nine points above second place.

Sterling has played an integral role in these goals having scored in the matches against Everton, Bournemouth, Watford, Crystal Palace, Stoke and West Brom.

Guardiola has created a system where he gets the best out of his quality players and Sterling has thrived because of the hard work of Leroy Sané, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva.

It remains to be seen if he can make such an impact in the national side.
