The University of Portsmouth has implemented several policies to allow the library to stay open whilst remaining Covid-safe

Coronavirus has had a huge impact our daily lives. We have all made enormous sacrifices to protect our loved ones and support our healthcare and key workers who are on the front line in our battle against the virus.

Ultimately, this has altered the experience for many of the University of Portsmouth’s 31,000 students. Social distancing has seen learning move online, whilst the idea of a night out, or even meeting friends, is nothing more than a cherished memory given the restrictions on hospitality and household mixing.

Nevertheless, students are attempting to make the best of the situation. The university is also working to help the community through testing and ensuring a safe working space on campus.
