Light the way forward

The most anticipated festival of the year is finally here. The festival of lamps, lights, sweets, colours, food, crackers and what not. You’re all pretty excited already for the festivities to begin in a few hours from now.

I won’t make this long. It’s a simple message to keep and spread across. Take this opportunity to thank the lord what you already have and light a few lamps.

A lamp to remember what you were and the struggles you faced to come where you are.

A lamp for your family and closed ones, who have been by your side through thick and thin

A lamp for those who have wronged you, they made you a stronger person by doing just that.

A lamp for the soldiers, the police officers, and the unsung heroes who’re working overtime and sacrificing their festivity for yours.

A lamp for those you care about but far away from you, who have a special place in your heart

A lamp to pledge and kick your vices that you’ve been meaning to

AND FINALLY

A lamp to pledge that you will make yourself a better person than you are today
