The big fat Indian Shoots

You might have heard of something called the big fat Indian weddings. Larger than life, huge sets, hundreds of guests, the one time even the humblest of families become pompous. The craze is so much that people take out huge loans to show how well off they are. Well this isn’t about that. This is about the craziness or a part of it that happens during the entire event.

One of those things involve pre wedding shoot. Its normal world over for a new couple to immortalise a few awkward moments in still photography to show the world (or just their 500+ friends on facebook) how perfect they are as a couple. In the past few years I have seen overdressed couples moving around through lodhi gardens in statue like poses that are bollywood inspired.

What really surprised me was when someone pointed out that now couples have gone over the edge for pre-wedding video shoots. First I couldn’t believe that there would be something like this, I did see a comedian making fun of such videos though. Then the strangest thing happened this evening, I saw a few videos on youtube and couldn’t help but laugh a bit. Then to top it off one of my friends posted her pre-wedding video shoot on facebook for the world to ridicule. The videos are typical, accompanied by a bollywood love song, done in parks and other historical monuments typically in the early hours when it isn’t too crowded, and with bad acting.

So without further ado, here is every typical Indian pre-wedding video shoot ever created or will be created.
