The Blank Canvas

I read this interesting piece of comic strip, talking about how to face a blank canvas. Now if you’ve gone through it and I recommend that you do, you may find that it is not just about art and canvas alone. Whenever I set out to write on my page, I feel the same thing. The stare of the blank screen, mocking me, challenging me. I can feel it snickering and then shouting out loud, “You can’t do a thing.” It has bothered me so much at times that I’ve turned into an idiot.

But then again that is the whole challenge I took on to defeat. Creating an art is easy when you have all the time and all the thoughts in the world. Dishing out a new idea, a new thought, well it can work for sometime. But now I am all out of those ideas. I have nothing to think up of unless there’s something worth it that happened around me. Now I have impulse, the impulse to write whatever is in my mind during the time. It comes at varying strength but it hits hard. It is because when you dare and face those demons, only then can you come up with something amazing in terms of a masterpiece.

Similarly its with the challenges of life, you plan, you set your goals and sometimes you find it hard to accomplish. Those goals, sit around mocking you till the very end. Don’t be afraid and give up, stand up to them and face them as all achievements and goals are afraid of the passionate artist. Own them, work on them and showcase them because that’s how the world will know
