The Vintage Vibe
How to Tell if Your Tiffany Lamp is Worth Anything.
Tiffany lamps continue to hold significant value in today’s antique market.
While the pictured tulip-styled stained glass hanging lamp is not a Tiffany, it lends many characteristics to Tiffany's detail and design.
The pictured lamp is one I found at an estate sale. It was made in 1915 in Chicago by Geringer & Sons Gramercy Park Lighting.
This beautiful lamp was hidden in an old plastic milk crate covered with brown paper bags. The seller was cleaning out his mother's home and said he had never seen it before. He charged me $10.
It had an attached cord intertwined into a large gold link vintage chain. I took it home, cleaned it up, and it worked beautifully.
Not often you get to see a lamp from 1915 illuminate a room. But you can see it by clicking here.
I sold the lamp in my Etsy shop and made a $879 profit.
