Alexa for Business Blueprints

I missed the rollout last month of Alexa for Business Blueprints. Blueprints are a template-like Skill builder that Amazon released last year for consumers. It allows you to build quizzes or choose your own adventure games very quickly. It’s convenient if you need to provide information for guests in your home. When it came out, I had wondered when such a service would be available for businesses.

There are many different things that businesses can do with an Echo that has Alexa for Business and Blueprints built it. Some ideas:

• Check-in for an appointment or for visitors at an office
• Museum exhibit that’s voice interactive through an Echo.
• Bed & Breakfast in-room guide.
• Interview guide (candidates provide short answers to an Echo… yes, weird).
• Break room trivia

What I like about Blueprints is that it gives businesses the chance to tinker with new interactions. It’s likely someone will stumble on a golden customer experience as a result.
