Hope Church upcoming seasonal events
At HOPE Church, the community is invited, free of charge, to a number of seasonal events.
For Palm Sunday on March 29, at 9–10:30 a.m. HOPE’s Worship Arts Ministry presents “Three Days.”
Three days — seventy-two hours — and in that remarkably brief amount of time, oeternity was forever changed.
Jesus was arrested, tortured, hung on a cross … and three days later the tomb was empty.
Come experience the retelling of the story through the eyes of some of the people who knew Him and walked with Him.
What was it like for these people on Saturday?
Imagine the despair for Jesus’ friends as they were hiding out in a room not knowing that God had conquered death and sin.
What if Sunday had never come?
Thank God the story of love does not end there.
“Three Days” brings into focus the main events surrounding and leading up to the miraculous, prophecy-fulfilling resurrection of Jesus.
On April 3 experience “The Good Friday Experience” at HOPE, 11 a.m. — 7:30 p.m.
This is a self-guided, journal-driven, multi-sensory, meditative experience. Participants will move through seven stations, each a reflection on the seven times Jesus spoke while He was dying on the cross. There will be opportunities to reflect on what Jesus said and did for us, through prayer, meditation and various creative expressions. Childcare provided.
Easter Sunday Worship will take place on April 5 at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.
This year’s celebration begins with an Easter Sunrise Service, April 5, at Lions Lake Park, located off Route 73 in Voorhees.
Service starts at 6:30 a.m., weather permitting.
Be sure to bring a chair.
HOPE’s Easter Sunday services will be held at the church campus at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on April 5. All are welcome.
The Kidz Konnect worship experience, designed especially for children, will be held during the 9:30 a.m. and 11am. services. Nursery care is available during all three worship services.
On Sunday, April 19, at 4:30 p.m. Kids of HOPE’s spring production will take place.
Don’t miss Acorns to Oaks and be sure to join the kids on McDonald’s farm as they learn about being planted in good soil. The children have been learning that only after being rooted in Christ are we able to produce a harvest that honors God. During the show, the children will be collecting canned goods for HOPE’s Food Pantry. Check out the list below for the food pantry and bring an item or two so you can be part of the harvest.
HOPE Church offers a relaxed, contemporary Christian worship experience and is open to all no matter where they are in their spiritual journey. For more information, go to MeetHope.org.
