Facetime to Kuwait reading Americas White Table

Students in teacher Colleen Campbell’s third grade class at Kresson Elementary School recently reached across the globe to show support to those who serve the nation.

Master Sgt. Steven Harlow, a New Jersey resident and proud member of the US Air Force, was deployed to Kuwait for six months.

Before his deployment in July, he received a class made memento from the 2014–2015 class wishing him well and thanking him for his service.

During his deployment, Campbell’s 2015–2016 class used the video-telephone program Facetime to thank him, learn about his position and the airbase where he was stationed, read “America’s White Table”, and sent him a signed copy of the book.

Harlow was said truly touched by the gesture and showed his appreciation for their support by presenting Campbell and her class a Certificate of Appreciation and coin.

Campbell’s class learned about the sacrifices those who serve the nation make, spoke to a true hero, and made a positive difference in someone’s life.
