Denny Heck Discusses Trump Sharing Classified Information With Russia
On CNN & MSNBC, Intel Committee member expressed concern with the revealing of this information
Washington Congressman Denny Heck hit the cable news circuit this week to discuss the news that President Donald Trump revealed classified information to the Russian ambassador and the Russian Foreign Minister.
While speaking with CNN, Congressman Heck expressed disappointment with his Republican colleagues for failing to speak out about Trump revealing such highly classified information.
“I want to make a deal with them [Republicans], have them write down on a sheet of paper what he could conceivably do to finally cross the line — such that they would actually speak up and speak out against him [Trump].”
On MSNBC, Heck shared what would happen to him — as a member of the Intelligence Committee — if he revealed highly classified information.
“If I where to have done that as a member of the Intel Committee, I would be subject to prosecution under the Espionage Act of 1917 and subject of up to 10 years in jail. This is mind-numbingly reckless on the part of the President.”
Congressman Heck is a Democrat representing the Washington 10th congressional district.
