  1. M&M’s — To create the look of an M&M, wear a plain shirt of any M&M color. Then you can paint, draw, or use another method to transfer an “M” onto the front of the shirt. Black pants or shorts are an excellent option to wear with this shirt. Some accessories you can add to make this costume pop, are a tutu and/or suspenders in your corresponding color, white knee-high socks with stripes of your M&M color, or a headband.

2. Dress from Different Decades — A great option for a group costume is to all be dressed from different eras or time periods. For example, if you choose 1960s, Tie-Dye was a huge trend! For more information on how to dress with tie-dye, refer to our previous article on returning trends! Another thing you could do is dress in neon colors! Neon colors were such a hit back then!

3. Harry Potter character — You can recreate the iconic Hogwarts uniform by wearing a pleated skirt or black pants and a button-down shirt. You can also wear a sweater overtop of the shirt with the collar visible. To finish the look, add a tie with the color house you're in! Optional: you can also top it off with a black robe.

4. Disney Character — You can dress up as your favorite Disney character for Halloween but put a modern twist on it! If you choose to dress up as Minnie Mouse, you can wear a red or pink dress with or without polka dots. To add to this, you can also add the classic Minnie or Mickey Mouse ears or a bow that matches the dress. If you want to be a fairy, such as Tinker Bell, you can wear a green dress and put your hair in a bun. To top off the look, you can add a pair of wings or sparkly makeup to give off that perfect fairy look.

5. Clueless Character — Clueless is a classic movie that has a lot of fun fashion! Clueless’s fashion was based on the teenage style in the 1990s, so you can wear anything that was commonly worn by teens during that time. A typical look in this movie is a pleated, plaid skirt with a matching blazer top. Then wear a simple top underneath to contrast the pattern. You can also wear a sweater or sweater-vest with a collar underneath paired with a mini skirt.

6. Lifeguard — This costume is as simple as wearing white and red, that’s it! You can wear red sweatpants with a white top, or vice versa! To add to this outfit, you can add a lifeguard fanny pack, a bucket hat, sunglasses, a whistle, or even a floaty.

7. Different Types of Candies — Dressing up as different candies is an excellent option for a group costume as there are many different candies. Wear an oversized shirt that is the color of the primary color on the package of your chosen candy. For example, if you decide to be Skittles, wear a red shirt, or if you choose to be a Recess, wear an orange shirt. Then transfer the logo or packaging onto the shirt. You can get creative with this! Some ideas are that you can draw with fabric markers or cut out pieces with felt. Wear black pants and sneakers with this. To top off this look, you can even add fun accessories and makeup that match your candy’s aesthetic.

8. Mummy — A mummy is a super fun option for a Halloween costume. You can make it scary, neutral, or cute! As a base for this outfit, wear neutral or basic colored pants and a matching shirt. To finish this costume, it’s as simple as having someone wrap you in toilet paper! You can wrap toilet paper around both legs to create a look of pants and then create a shirt with the toilet paper. If the toilet paper rips, it’s no big deal because that can add to the costume’s scariness! You can add scary makeup to enhance the look as well. This look is best worn when it is not raining, so the toilet paper won’t dissolve.

9. Bratz doll — To dress up as the iconic 2000’s Bratz doll, you have to wear a fitted shirt, preferably off the shoulders or a tank top, but long-sleeved works too. For the bottoms, any mini skirt works fine! Make sure to color coordinate the top and bottom. Bratz dolls often wear very knee-high boots to complete their look as well. Optional: Bratz dolls are always wearing makeup, to add you could overline your lips and put glitter on your eyelids.

10. Among Us character — Dressing up as an Among Us character is so fun and easy! All you must do is get an oversized T-shirt (either purple, red, pink, white, black, yellow, green, orange, or brown), and wear some black shorts or pants. You can also wear an onesie in your desired color. If you want, add a backpack that matches your color to act as the pack on the characters back. Finally, whip out those old ski goggles and put them on to finish the look!

11. Angel and Devil — The angel and devil costume has been iconic for years! To dress up as an angel, wear a white dress and stockings. Put on a white headband with a halo to complete the look. Optional: you could put on some sparkly white eye-makeup! To dress up as a devil, you could either wear a red dress or a red tank top with black jeans. Your headpiece would be a devil horn headband. Optional: sparkly red eye shadow with a red lip!

12. Eleven from Stranger Things — A classic look of Eleven, a character from the well-known show Stranger Things, is a light pink dress with a white collar poking out. Not only is this a trendy look right now, but it is also relatively easy to recreate. You can wear sneakers with knee-high socks. Eleven’s socks had three stripes, two green and one yellow, but any white knee-high socks will work great! To add to this look, you can add a blue jacket that Eleven commonly wore.

13. Vampire — Dressing up as a vampire is so simple! Wear a red or black robe! The great thing about wearing a robe is that you can wear almost anything underneath! To finish this outfit, you could wear some fake fangs! The glow in the dark ones are the best.

14. Pumpkin — Pumpkins are a huge part of the Halloween and fall season, making this a fun costume to wear! To put this outfit together, grab an oversized orange t-shirt. You can leave the shirt plain or even draw a face like a jack-o’-lantern in black. Wear black shorts or pants with the orange shirt. If you want, add a black headband for a cute accessory. You can also do fun orange eyeshadow to spice up the look.

15. Cat — Dressing up as a cat is super easy! All you must do is wear black on black and add some whiskers and cat ears. Optional: you can add a tail or do some cool eyeshadow looks to complement your outfit!
