There’s a certain seasonality to release dates. Apple announces new software in the summer and hardware in the autumn. Burial, my favorite electronic music artist, releases singles and EPs in dark winter months. And Mary Meeker, current partner at KPCB and the veritable patron saint of internet trend reporting, has taken to dropping her reports in early Summer.

This year’s report is huge, weighing in at some 355 slides. But it wasn’t always so sprawling. I was able to find presentations by Meeker going back to 2004 and thought it would be fun to chart its growth, as measured by the number of slides in the deck, from that year on. Here’s the chart…

Over the past seven years, Meeker’s Internet Trends Report has grown in both scope and scale. The growth of Meeker’s annual report coincides with her departure from the Managing Director role at Morgan Stanley and her transition to Kleiner Perkins in December 2010.

For those of you who might be interested, here are links to all of Meeker’s Internet Trends Reports since 2004:

Enjoy. More is likely to come.
