The Trailer We’ve All Been Waiting For Has Finally Dropped; Let’s Watch & Discuss!

How amazing is this trailer?! Here are the reactions I wrote down as I was watching this.

We get a little bit of dialogue between Kylo Ren and Snoke; he doesn’t sound happy. Perhaps we’ll get a little more backstory into how Snoke was able to seduce Kylo to the dark side? Rey is attempting to convince a reluctant Luke Skywalker to train her. He is afraid of the power that Rey possesses, and it looks like we’ll get more information on how Luke’s Jedi school was destroyed. It also seems like Rey’s level of power is at least on par with Kylo’s, if not stronger.

Next we get to see Ren’s new TIE fighter in action…annnd it looks like he might be gunning to end Leia’s life as well? That’s some real deep family issues there. He also looks to be a capable pilot, just like gramps. Then we see the Falcon now co-piloted by a Porg, everyone’s favorite thing to hate about The Last Jedi(I think they’re cute). Whoa! Poe Dameron has extra booster on his X-wing — awesome! Finn vs. Phasma round 2 looks insane! I hope he gets some real screen time in this movie, Finn was one of my favorite parts of A New H…err The Force Awakens. Luke knows something — I can’t wait to see why he’s so not Luke Skywalker. Snoke saying ‘fulfill your destiny’ classic Star Wars line; wait — is he talking to Rey? The bad guy is switching apprentices halfway through the story — classic Star Wars. Wait wtf?! Are Rey and Kylo becoming a power couple?!

There are so many great moments in this trailer — I cannot wait to see this movie! Glad to have already purchased my tickets — thanks Jesse(!) — I would suggest you get yours; and soon because I’ve heard they’re flying off the digital shelves.
