Wonder Woman 2 Release Date Set
Wonder Woman Director Patty Jenkins Still In Talks For Sequel
It’s official; we are going to get a Wonder Woman sequel! The news came late Tuesday from Warner Bros. and a week after they released many dates for unknown movie titles, that Gal Gadot will return for a sequel on December 13, 2019.
Patty Jenkins is reportedly in ongoing talks with Warner Bros. helm the director’s chair for the sequel, but she is not officially attached to the project.
Wonder Woman is currently doing better than any other superhero movie in the past 15 years at the North American box office, surpassing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy last week when it amassed a domestic total of over $389 million.
For those of you who, like me, loved Wonder Woman this year don’t fret you don’t have to wait two and half years to see Diana Prince in theaters again! Wonder Woman will be returning in November’s Justice League alongside the Batman, Aquaman, Flash, Cyborg and a digitally non-mustachioed Superman.
What do you guys think? Are you excited for a Wonder Woman sequel? Do you think Patty Jenkins is a lock for the next movie, or is there a chance the studio will need to find another director?
