France, Canada, Mexico. There are so many international vacations to choose from! But you’re not looking for any regular trip; you’re searching for an adventure filled with ghosts and spine-chilling lore. Where would these places be? Good thing this world is filled with hundreds of haunted hotspots. Try these three international locations for starters:
1. Buenos Aires, Argentina
Buenos Aires has plenty of places to explore its rich history. Meanwhile, ghost adventurers should check out the reputedly haunted Recoleta and Chacarita cemeteries. These places are said to be teeming with ghost activity. Best not to go alone if you know what’s good for you. Be careful of the phantom taxi driver with the license plate number 666!
2. London, England
As old as London is, the city is bound to have a long line of haunted history. You might see one of King Henry VII’s wives at the infamous Tower of London: Anne Boleyn. She has been seen walking down the halls and going through walls. More of the former king’s wives have been spotted at Hampton Court. If that weren’t enough for you, head on over to Westminister Abbey. You might see the ghost of Father Benedictus. He tends to appear between 5 and 6 in the evening.
3. Sydney, Australia
Down under in Sydney stands Cockatoo Island. It was once a prison, a shipyard, and a brutally strict girls’ reformatory. Tourists who have explored the island mentioned seeing dark figures and feeling an overwhelming sense of dread. Worst, there are reported poltergeist activities in certain spots on the island.
Meanwhile, the abandoned Gladesville Mental Hospital is open for anybody eager to learn about its dark past. It was established in 1838 to treat mentally disabled patients. Unfortunately, the place built a track record of abuse and death. It was left abandoned in 1993, but spirits still roam the area.
There has to be More…
Wait, this can’t be it, right? Don’t feel disappointed; there’s always more haunted cities to explore:
