Don’t you hate it when you discover interesting people only to learn they’ve already passed away?

Last year, on April 18, 2019, paranormal investigator and claimed clairvoyant Lorraine Warren passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her husband, Ed, passed away in 2006.

I didn’t know anything about the Warrens until I watched The Conjuring (2013) shortly before I discovered the Warrens’ deaths. Nothing gets me going more than scary movies based on true stories.

Even though The Conjuring flipped a few details away from the truth, I was still determined to learn more about the paranormal couple.

THE WARRENS

Lorraine Rita Moran (1927–2019) met Ed Warren (1926–2006) at a movie theater when she was a teenager. Ed was working there as a movie usher. The two married after Ed returned from serving in World War II.

Ed was a painter before he became a full-time demonologist. Growing up in a haunted house sparked his interest in the supernatural.
