Best Wework locations in London (2022)
It has been a while since I have done a Wework review. Now coming into Summer 2022, it’s time for a new city review.
London is a special city for me, because it is where my Wework adventure began. Yes, in 2017 I became a Wework member in the infamous Aldwich House in the center of London. Far from the best location, but it was enough to get me hooked. I have been a Weworker ever since then (5 years now!).
At the time, the All Access membership (previously the Global Access Membership) had not yet been invented. All you could have was a hot desk for $400/month. You could only go to one Wework, your home base. With 2 credits per month, you could reserve at another Wework once a month.
Therefore I didn’t visit many Weworks back in the day. There were maybe 20 Weworks in london. Now, with the All Access membership, things are completely different and with 50+ locations (30+ open for All Access), London has become a hub for remote workers.
Let’s get into the the shortlist:
10 York Road
This has become my All Time BEST Wework location. This location deserves it’s own review. But that is for another day.
It is also one of the biggest Weworks I have ever seen. The entire building belongs to Wework, that is 16 floors of office space, with 3 floors that are reserved for All Access members (1st, 8th and 9th). On the first floor you can use external monitors, first come first serve.
Quick tip: bring your own cables/dongles.
On the eigth floor, there is a nice quiet spot next to the window. The view is quite nice here:
The stairs leading up to the nine floor have nice spots to work:
On the ninth floor, the community bar is at the front desk. You can have a nice chat with the community managers and ask for help locating rooms.
The ninth floor is where most of the amenities are: Barista, Beer, Quiet dedicated zone, there is a library zone, phone booths and also a speak-easy room for meetings.
If you head up to the 16th floor (yes that is right), there is a huge terrasse with an amazing view on the Thames. There is also a pizzeria where you can get lunch or dinner. The pizzeria is also a cocktail bar, so if you are not into beer, you can come up and grab a cocktail.
The Lobby is also a place to visit. There is a full scale skateboard ramp in the center of the lobby.
123 Buckingham Palace Road
This Wework is a great place to socialize. There are 2 floors (2nd and 4th floor). The other floors are taken by google and another company.
The Community bar is on the 2nd floor. This is sticker central. If you are looking to fill your sticker collection, this is the place to go.
There is a nice area for All Access members on the 2nd floor in the back next to the window. There is also a big space with sofas and books to read.
On the second floor there is a ping-pong table and a pool table for socializing.
The forth floor has great conference rooms with good light coming in. There is also plenty of space for All access members.
Wework Monument
I didn’t spend too much time here, but it is worth a mention anyway. Wework owns the whole building from the ground floor up. The community bar is on the ground floor with a barista.
The ground floor/first floor is pretty noisy (people on calls/people socializing) but once you go up, that fades down a bit. There is a dedicated space for All Access members on the first floor, as well as a monitor room. This is first come first serve, so keep that in mind. Also, the pro tip is to always have a dongle with you for connecting to the monitors, Wework does not provide cables or dongles.
