We are extremely excited to announce new features and improvements that are available in the Whatis Bot (https://whatis.rocks) today:
Whatis Slack App Home
Firstly, a brand new Slack App Home experience 🎉
In the Whatis App Home you will find quick links to actions that you can easily perform to interact with the Whatis Bot, such as creating a new Whatis, searching for Whatises, or checking out your team’s stats. This is the perfect experience for those that would rather click buttons than interact with the bot through slash commands.
Forgot a term you recently searched 🧠 ? Now you can easily see your search history and repeat a previous search.
The Whatis App Home can be accessed by opening a conversation with the Bot like you would any other team member and selecting the default view, Home, at the top of the conversation window.
Images and GIFs in Whatis
You can now enrich your Whatises by including images and GIFs 🤯 ! Using pictures can really help in cases where your terminology isn’t easily described through text — as they say, a picture is worth 1000 words!
Flairs — Earn Points for Being Helpful
Whatis Flairs make maintaining your teams terminology fun and engaging, this is crucial for spreading the burden of keeping team knowledge up to date 📈. When you come across a Whatis that helps you out, show the creator some appreciation by adding a Flair to their Whatis!
Earn new Flairs and level up by creating, updating, and sharing Whatis with your team, and keeping knowledge touch points up to date 💪. Your team’s users level up by earning “Whatis Points” — we’ll soon be showing your team’s top scorers in your Dashboard!
Encryption at rest 🔒
All Whatis data is now encrypted at rest by default! 🔑
