This is What More Than a Million Miles with the Vice President Looks Like:
Compiled by Official Vice Presidential Photographer David Lienemann
A few months ago, Vice President Joe Biden crossed the million-mile mark aboard Air Force Two — the official plane of the Vice President.
As the Vice President’s official photographer, I’ve been along for most of those miles, photographing him on trips around the world — from Iraq to Singapore, and all across the United States.
Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to capture every aspect of a given trip — from meetings on the plane to motorcades on the ground; from official bilateral meetings to behind-the-scenes local visits. Let’s just say the pace is never slow.
I wanted to give you a sense of what those more-than 1 million miles have looked like these past seven years. So I’ve pulled together some of my favorite shots from the road. Take a look, and I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
And, if you’d like to see more new photos — along with some more from the past seven years of the Vice Presidency — I just launched my official Instagram account. You can follow along here.
Looking forward to sharing more photos with you.
