The Twisted Case of Eleanor Williams Who Faked Her Own Kidnapping
Eleanor Williams posted disturbing photos of her injuries on social media and went viral — turns out it was all her own doing.
Eleanor Williams grew up in Barrow, a quaint English town with her parents and two siblings. They lived a comfortable life in a 3-story brick house in an upper-middle-class neighborhood. A friend described the family as good-hearted, decent people, “There was nothing strange or unusual about Eleanor’s upbringing, she came from a nice and entirely normal family home. It makes what’s happened all the more astonishing.”
It all started in November 2017 when Eleanor spent the evening drinking and smoking pot with her supposed friend, Cameron Bibby. When the then-16-year-old started throwing up, Cameron called her mother, Allison, and she took Eleanor to the hospital. Eleanor told nurses Cameron had raped her but after he was arrested, she suddenly dropped the charges.
In March 2019, Eleanor met Jordan Trengove at a nightclub. She spent the evening with Jordan and his friends, later going their separate ways. When Eleanor got home, she called the police and told them Jordan raped her.
