My older sister recently died from injuries after a terrible auto/pedestrian accident. Before her death she was in the hospital slowly recovering, and we had so much hope. After almost two weeks she suddenly suffered a medical event she could not survive.

We had always been extremely close. Perhaps that’s why she gave me an incredible gift the day following her passing.

To understand the gift and how I know she is still with me, I must explain a few events of my life that left me open to understanding what was happening as she died, and the following evening when she showed me that she was okay.

A well known psychic medium that I have visited in the past told me that for me the veil between here and what can only be called the other side is thin. She told me I have the gift of communicating with those who have died, but that I am just not listening.

Developing that gift has not been a priority as I cannot decide why I would want to do so.

My second career has been in death care, working as a Certified Celebrant. I have had many opportunities to meet with newly grieving families. When I first began working as a funeral celebrant, I had no idea of the experiences I would be gifted…

Loss, sadness, and transition is hard. Pick up the pieces and get creative. Death, near-death, divorce, loss, transitions, graveyard, cemetery, urn plans, complicated grief, hospice care, all issues related to end of life. Not accepting letters to deceased or poetry.
